CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – While a man and woman neared the Brambleton overpass in Norfolk on the way to Portsmouth, a Mercedes-Benz pulled up parallel to the two, rolled down his window and pulled out a gun, said police.

The driver of the Benz shot four times at the other car on Feb. 24 before the victims stopped. They pulled off on I-264 and called authorities. Six months later, Virginia State Police arrested Taron D. Walker in connection with the shooting, according to officers.

Walker, 26, was taken into custody Sept. 24 and charged with felony shooting from a moving vehicle and felony shooting into an occupied vehicle. At the time of the arrest, Walker also had a stolen gun and marijuana, the release stated.

The investigation is still ongoing.
