VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach Police were busy early Friday morning investigating two separate motorcycle accidents.
The first accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. Friday in the 4800 block of Ferrell Parkway.
According to a press release from Patrick Kane with Virginia Beach Police, a single motorcycle rider was located suffering life-threatening injuries. The adult male rider was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Speed is not considered a factor, but the release states alcohol is a possible factor at this time.
The second accident occurred at 83rd Street and Shore Drive around 1:25 a.m. When officers arrived they found an adult male suffering from severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. This accident is still under investigation and there is no information available at this time to prove if speed or alcohol are related.
