Marshals arrest violent Chesapeake fugitive

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Chesapeake man wanted for assault and robbery was arrested by U.S. Marshals Friday morning.

Antoine Demon Smith, 30, was taken into custody at his home in the 1700 block of Parrish Street. He was arrested without incident, the release stated.

Smith was wanted in Chesapeake for malicious wounding, robbery, assault, unlawful use of a vehicle and strong arm robbery, according to investigators.

Police said they responded a domestic incident in the 4100 block of Leyte Avenue, on May 27. Smith allegedly assaulted two others that he lived with and then took one of their vehicles without permission.
