Police searching for man accused of assaulting hotel employee

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police have released surveillance video of a man they say assaulted an employee at a Suffolk hotel.

On Sept. 30, a man, who was not a guest at the hotel, entered the Hilton Garden Inn located in the 5900 block of Harbour View Boulevard. When he was approached by an employee, he jumped on the employee and cut him with an unknown object before fleeing on foot, according to Suffolk Police.

The employee suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The subject is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, approximately 5’10” to 6’0″ tall and between 25 and 30 years of age with close-cut hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Crime Line at 1-888-Lock-U-Up.
