Gunman robs Newport News pizza place

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – An armed man held up a pizza shop in Newport News Thursday night and left with an undisclosed amount of dough – cash not flour.

Three employees were inside the Dominoe’s Pizza at 994 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. when the masked subject walked through the door, authorities said. He demanded money and then left on foot heading toward the Bayberry Village Shopping Center, the release stated.

Officers said the man is black and about 5 foot 10 inches tall with medium build. He was last seen wearing a black mask under a black hoodie and a leather jacket with a stripe on the sleeve, according to Newport News police spokeswoman Holly McPherson.
