RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Virginia task force addressing sexual violence on college campuses is set to hold its first meeting.
The Governor’s Task Force on Combating Campus Sexual Violence is scheduled to meet Thursday afternoon in Richmond.
Gov. Terry McAuliffe signed an executive order in August creating the task force, which will include campus administrators, advocates, law enforcement, higher education attorneys, health professionals and others. The task force is chaired by Attorney General Mark Herring.
The task force will discuss ways to prevent and respond to sexual violence and provide a final report to McAuliffe by June 1.
