Norfolk police arrest man accused of mishandling his firearm

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police have taken a man into custody in connection with carelessly firing his gun in Norfolk.

Marquis Johnson, 25, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm after a report of a video Wednesday night in the 900 block at Albert Avenue, the release stated.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a a 29-year-old man who had been grazed by a bullet. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Johnson is from the block of the shooting.
