VBPD: Man stole rifles from Wal-Mart

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police have arrested a man who they stole firearms from a local Wal-Mart Wednesday afternoon.

Between 3:15 p.m. and 3 p.m., police say a man went into the Wal-Mart in the 1100 block of Nimmo Parkway and was able to steal two rifles from the sporting goods section, according to James Cason with the VBPD.

The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras exiting the store without paying. WAVY.com published the surveillance pictures, and police say within 30 minutes of the story going out, tips from the public helped police identify Jake A. DiFolco as the suspect.

DiFolco, of Virginia Beach, was charged with grand larceny and released on bond.
