WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a man robbed a Williamsburg pharmacy of prescription medications Tuesday afternoon.
At 12:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Richmond Road for a reported robbery at a CVS Pharmacy, according to Major Greg Riley with the Williamsburg Police Department.
An investigation indicates the suspect entered the business, pulled out a gun and demanded prescription pharmaceuticals from employees at the pharmacy counter. After being given medications, the suspect fled the area.
Riley said no one was hurt during the robbery.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black man in his 20’s who was wearing a red shirt, shorts and a white baseball cap. Anyone with information that could help police find him is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
