PD: Man buys $1600 in alcohol with stolen credit card

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Detectives need the public’s help in a credit card fraud investigation.

The victim told police his/her credit card had been compromised two times. An investigation revealed a suspect used the victim’s credit card information to buy $800 worth of alcohol, twice on August 15, according to Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set black man with a goatee, wearing a grey t-shirt.

Detectives are trying to identify the suspect, who was photographed by surveillance cameras. Anyone who can is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
