Former community service board members reach settlement

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A settlement was reached Tuesday between the former head of the Norfolk Community Services Board and four former board managers.

It all stems over the worker who was paid for 12 years, from 1998 until 2010, but never came to work. 10 On Your Side has been following this story for years.

The four former employees sued their old boss, Maureen Womack, who blamed the incident on those four, and they lost their jobs. A source told WAVY.com all parties wanted to put the matter behind them and settled on Tuesday.

The former CSB director, Brenda Wise, pleaded guilty to felony embezzlement this past June.

As for that former no-show worker, Jill McGlone, she declared bankruptcy and will never have to pay back all the money she got, which totaled around $320,000.
