27-year-old accused of robbing, firing gun at man in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk police have arrested a man charged with stealing from and shooting at a victim.

Around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday,  27-year-old Mark W. Walker approached a 50-year-old male in the 100 block of W. 28th Street holding a gun and demanding money, according to authorities. Walker then fired but missed the victim, who was not harmed during the theft, police said.

When officers arrived, they saw Walker a few blocks away and took him into custody. He has been charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, brandishing a firearm and discharging a firearm in a public place.
