Police seek suspect of 7-Eleven robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police need the public’s help identifying the suspect of a Tuesday morning robbery.

Around 5:20 a.m., a man armed with a black handgun entered the 7-Eleven store at 130 Newtown Road and took cash from a register, according to James Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department. The suspect fled the store on foot, running toward Arrowhead Drive.

Cason said no one was injured.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a black man in his late 30’s, standing about six feet tall. he was wearing a black half mask, dark blue hoodie, khaki cargo pants and black sneakers.
