Man injured in Norfolk shooting

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating after 30-year-old man was shot in Norfolk, early Friday morning,

Norfolk Police and Fire Rescue responded to the 2400 block of Nevada Avenue and found the victim suffering from an injury consistent to a gunshot wound at around 12:45 a.m., said Norfolk Police spokesperson Melinda Wray.

Fire Rescue transported the victim to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury.

Anyone who may have information about this shooting is encouraged to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887). Any information that leads to an arrest can earn a reward of up to $1,000.
