Chesapeake man dies after Labor Day shooting

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A Chesapeake man died Thursday after being victim to a shooting on Monday, police say.

Officer Kelly O’Sullivan said 29-year-old Patrick Crisp died as a result of injuries sustained during a shooting in the 1200 block of Transylvania Avenue.

Police were called to the shooting scene around 6:40 p.m. Monday and soon learned two male victims had been taken to a local hospital by friends.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. Right now, police believe the two victims did not know each other.

O’Sullivan said the second victim is still recovering from his injuries.
