PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Before her tragic death at the Shamrock Half Marathon back in March, 16-year old Cameron Gallagher from Richmond was organizing a 5K race for suicide awareness.
This weekend you can help finish what she started at the SpeakUp5K. Grace Gallagher is the Executive Director of the race and Cameron Gallagher’s mom. She talked to us about Cameron and how this event is aimed to help raise awareness about teenage depression and childhood mental illnesses.
