NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The light rail trains in Norfolk are back on schedule following a crash at the Ballentine station Tuesday.
According to Tom Holden with Hampton Roads Transit, a vehicle crashed into a crossing gate. HRT crews had to cut off power to the track while they made repairs.
The accident was reported just before noon and the track was re-energized about 15 minutes later, Holden said.
There is no word on the driver’s condition or if any charges will be filed.
Trains are 15 –20 min late due to technical issues.
