Body pulled from Pamunkey River

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – New Kent Fire-Rescue pulled a body from the Pamunkey River Tuesday morning.

The victim, identified as William Hodges, was located along the shoreline about 40 yards from where he was last seen, according to Joe McLaughlin with the New Kent Sheriff’s Office.

Tidewater Review reports the 68-year-old had been missing since a boating incident Sunday.

Hodges’ remains were sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond.
