NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) A crash on Little Creek Road Saturday afternoon injured five people, including two Norfolk police officers and one child.
Around 2:06 p.m. two officers in a Norfolk Police car were responding to a robbery alarm in the 800 block of Little Creek Road with car’s lights and sirens on when a gold Cadillac sedan heading south on Chesapeake Blvd. failed to yield to the police cruiser. The sedan struck the front passenger tire of the officers’ car, pushing it into another sedan and a pickup truck, according to a police spokeswoman.
Medics took the two police officers to Sentara Norfolk General hospital for treatment where they are expected to recover. Two adults and a child from the Cadillac sedan were taken to Sentara Leigh Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Charges are pending for the driver of the Cadillac, according to a police spokeswoman.
