NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – The suspect responsible for killing a Newport News nightclub owner will spend 25 years behind bars.
Rashad Ashlock, 20, was found guilty of first degree murder on February 24, 2015, nearly a year after the crime. His sentencing was in April.
Issac Oshin, 56, was killed at the Majik City II Gentlemen’s Club on Jefferson Avenue. Police say Ashlock and Oshin got into an argument, then Ashlock came back later that night, and killed him.
A second man linked to Oshin’s death was found not guilty. 25-year-old Brandon Morris was acquitted of second degree murder. Police said Morris drove the getaway car.
