DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — An Avon woman has been indicted for shoplifting from a store she worked at.
On May 1, a store in Hatteras reported an employee theft to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, according to Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard.
After interviewing employees at the store and further investigation of the report, the Dare County Grand Jury returned bills of indictment against 21-year-old Jasmine Shada Downing.
Hoggard said Downing was arrested on Tuesday and served indictments for seven counts of larceny by an employee.
She was released from custody on a $3,000 bond.
