60-year-old man victim of Norfolk stabbing

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A suspect has been taken into custody after police say a 60-year-old man was stabbed and cut Friday morning.

Just before 10 a.m., the man walked into Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a stab wound an multiple lacerations, according to a Norfolk press release.

The injuries, which were not life-threatening, were traced back to an early morning altercation in the 800 block of Lincoln Street.

Norfolk police detectives identified 52-year-old Cynthia J. Butts, who lives in the 800 block of Lincoln Street, as the suspect. She was arrested and charged with one count malicious wounding.

Butts is being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
