Suffolk Police closed streets during bomb threat investigation

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Several streets near the Godwin Courts Building on North Main Street were closed Thursday as police investigated a bomb threat.

Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue say they were first made aware of the threat at 12:21 p.m. The courthouse was evacuated. At 3 p.m., city spokeswoman Diana Klink said the bomb threat was cleared and the affected streets and courthouse were reopened.
