NEW YORK (WAVY) – NBC News is reporting comedian and actress Joan Rivers was rushed to a NYC hospital Thursday morning after she stopped breathing during a throat surgery.
NBC New York says multiple sources confirmed Rivers, 81, was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition shortly before 10 a.m.
Rivers is an Emmy-award-winning television talk-show host, Tony-award-nominated actress, author, playwright, screenwriter, film director, columnist, lecturer, syndicated radio host, jewelry designer, cosmetic-company entrepreneur, and red-carpet fashion laureate, according to JoanRivers.com.
