PD: Men shoplift expensive hearing aid

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach detectives area asking for the public’s help identifying two men suspected of shoplifting an expensive hearing aid.

Around 1:15 p.m. on August 3, the suspects when into the Radio Shack on Nimmo Parkway, according to Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department. As one of the men distracted the store clerk, the other took a hearing aid valued at more than $200 and put it underneath the Redskins football jersey he was wearing.

“It appeared that the two men were communicating with each other, and as the white male leaves the store without paying, the black male looks back to the white male and then quickly exits  the store,” Borman said.

The first suspect was described as a white man, 25 to 30 years of age, about six feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a Washington Redskins jersey with the number 26 on it.

The second suspect was described as a black man, 25 to 30 years of age, about six feet tall, weighing slightly above 200 pounds. He was wearing a black t-shirt and white shorts.
