NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – A swimming advisory issued Thursday for several Newport News beaches has been lifted, as of Friday afternoon.
The Peninsula Health District issued an advisory for King Lincoln Park Beach, Huntington Park Beach and Hilton Beach. According to health officials, samples collected Tuesday showed bacteria levels that exceed state standards.
Samples were collected Thursday, and the results show the water at those beaches meets state water quality standards.
