PD: Man asked for directions then exposed himself

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A Virginia Beach man is accused of exposing himself in two separate, recent instances.

Police arrested 43-year-old Larry Leverett, Jr. and charged him with taking indecent liberties with a child and indecent exposure. The first incident he’s accused in occurred August 11 around 6:40 p.m.. A woman called police and told them a man stopped to ask her child and her child’s friend for directions while they were in the 3200 block of Green Lakes Drive. That’s when they say he exposed himself to the children.

Then, on August 19, between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. another victim, an adult woman, reported a similar incident in the 3300 block of Stone Shore Drive.

According to MPO J.C. Cason, Jr., detectives patrolled the area and tracked down Leverett using the victims’ description of the suspect and his vehicle. Leverett is being held without bond in the Virginia Beach City Jail.
