In a handwritten letter to “Whomever it Concerns,” Bundick wrote that the legal advice she has “been receiving is ineffective.” She went on to write, “I don’t find the legal advice I am given to be in my best interests.”

The undated letter was sent to Accomack County Circuit Court, postmarked July 25.

Bundick is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 4 for her role in a fire set on March 3, 2013. In July, a jury recommended she serve 3.5 years in prison and pay a $10,000 fine for that fire.
