NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police say a toddler is safe after being found alone along a Norfolk road Monday.
According to the Norfolk Police Department, a concerned citizen called 911 around 4 p.m. after she saw a two-year-old child walking along the road.
Police went door-to-door to locate the child’s family. A caretaker, who had fallen asleep, was located. Officer Daniel Hudson with the Norfolk Police Department said after an investigation, the caretaker was not charged.
Investigators did not say where the toddler was found, but did say the child was not hurt.
