NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk police officers and recruits took the Ice Bucket Challenge Tuesday, raising $330 for ALS research.
The Norfolk Police Department was nominated by the Hampton Police Division.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is all about helping to raise money and awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Norfolk Sheriff Bob McCabe and two of his deputies also took the challenge Tuesday. Sheriff McCabe challenged Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam, Delegate Kenny Alexander, and WAVY News 10’s own Bruce Rader.
