Suspect sought after early morning robbery in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police are investigating a robbery early Monday morning in Norfolk.

Cpl. Melinda Wray with the Norfolk Police Department said the robbery happened just before 3 a.m. in the 700 block of Graydon Avenue. A man was walking in the area when he was approached by an unknown man.

Wray said the suspect demanded the victim’s property before fleeing. The victim was not hurt.

Police are looking for the suspect, who was described as a man 25 to 32 years old, weighing about 160 to 170 pounds, 5’11” to 6’1″ tall, with short hair and a goatee or beard. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Police did not release any additional information.
