NNPD: Series of vehicle larcenies, home burglaries related

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News police are asking for the public’s help finding those responsible for a series of recent vehicle larcenies and home burglaries.

Police say between June and the beginning of August, vehicles parked in the South end of the city, between 29th and 75th streets, and Warwick Boulevard and West Avenue, were victim to multiple thefts, tampering and vandalism.

There were a total of 11 incidents reported in June and another 19 in July and early August. Four home burglaries happened on River Road, Huntington Avenue and 73rd Street.

Detectives believe all the incident are related.
