NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – A Portsmouth man is accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old child.
Monday, officers were called to the north part of Newport News and notified about a sexual assault that had happened on Sunday. Investigators met with the 11-year-old victim and the adult who reported the incident, and were told that 54-year-old Bobby Freeman assaulted the victim.
After an interview, Freeman was arrested and charged with two counts of sodomy, two counts of object sexual penetration, one count of aggravated sexual battery, and one county of indecent liberties with a child. Police said Freeman knew the victim.
No additional information was released.
