VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Emergency crews responded to a possible drowning in the King’s Grant neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Officer James Cason with Virginia Beach police said the incident happened in the 3200 block of Don Caster Road. Around 2:30 p.m., emergency dispatchers were told a man was found unconscious by his family in a backyard swimming pool.
Family members pulled the man from the water and started CPR, according to Ed Brazle with Virginia Beach EMS. Crews transported the victim to a Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
