NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A five-year-old boy was hurt after being hit by a car Sunday in Norfolk.
Cpl. Melinda Wray with the Norfolk Police Department said it happened around 3:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Astor Circle. Police and fire crews arrived on the scene, and found a 5-year-old boy in the road who had been hit by a sedan.
Wray said the driver of the car waited at the scene for emergency responders, and the child was taken to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters with injuries that were not life-threatening.
It is unclear at this time whether or not the driver is facing charges. No additional information has been released.
