VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. (WAVY) – Some special surfers hit the waves Saturday at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
It’s called “They Will Surf Again” and it’s put on by the Life Rolls On Foundation.
The event is for people affected by spinal cord injuries. Volunteers help paraplegics and quadriplegics get on modified surfboards to ride the waves.
Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz volunteered to help the surfers.
The goal of the event is to inspire people to see beyond paralysis because as the group states, if someone can surf they can accomplish any other goal in their life.
