Teen victim of Eastern Shore tornado passes away

CHERITON, Va. (WAVY) – The 13-year-old critically injured in last month’s tornado on the Eastern Shore has passed away, WAVY News learned Saturday.

Lheandrew Balatbat had been at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters since the tornado hit the Cherrystone Family Campground last month.

His parents, Lord Balatbat and Lolibeth Ortega, died when a tree fell onto their tent. Their two daughters were also injured in the storm.
