NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – U.S. Marshals arrested a woman who was wanted by Chesapeake Police for three years Thursday in Norfolk.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Timothy Alley said Erica Arnold was wanted on multiple warrants for gun and drug offenses.

Alley said Arnold was seen leaving a home on 26th Street in Norfolk, and got into a car as the passenger. Deputies and task force agents conducted a traffic stop, and Arnold was taken into custody without incident.

“Our deputies showed patience in the handling of this case.  As the great boxer, Joe Louis, who may have said it first, ‘you can run but you cannot hide.’  Deputy US Marshals and our Task Force partners are true professionals in all that they do in the fugitive mission,” U.S. Marshal Bobby Mathieson said in a statement.
