Police connected the same suspects to a series of six robberies at 7-Eleven convenience stores across the city, between July 23 and August 4. In each case, they entered the store in the overnight hours, jumped the counter then stole a large amount of cigarettes, while continuously threatening employees, according to MPO J.C. Cason Jr.

During the last robbery, on Princess Anne Road, the suspects took off on foot towards Green Meadows Drive. Officers on patrol nearby responded. A police K-9 named “Bear” and his handler canvassed the area and tracked down one of the men in a nearby yard in the 4400 block of Lark Lake Court. MPO Cason said officers on scene were also able to find and arrest the second suspect. Specific details on his arrest were not released.

Police charged 45-year-old Raymond Harold, Jr. of Norfolk, with seven counts of robbery, six counts wearing a mask in public, grand larceny and conspiracy. The other suspect, 22-year-old Carl Walton Jr. of Virginia Beach, is charged with two counts robbery, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance.
