Norfolk detectives search for mugging suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the man who mugged a person late last month.

Around 9 p.m. on July 27, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Lincoln Street for an individual robbery, according to Officer Daniel Hudson.

The victim told police the suspect displayed a gun, took his personal property and the fled on foot. No one was injured during the incident, Hudson said.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male in his late 20’s. He’s about 6’3” tall, 170 lbs, and has low cut hair and a goatee. The victim said he was wearing a black short-sleeve shirt, black jeans, and black shoes with white trim.
