NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police say a man found with gunshot wounds in Chesapeake early Monday was actually shot in Norfolk.
Officer Daniel Hudson with the Norfolk Police Department said officers were called to the 1900 block of Greenleaf Drive around 12:30 a.m. for reports of gunshots heard in the area. Officers were unable to find any victims there.
A short time later, Chesapeake Police stopped a vehicle in Chesapeake, and learned the driver was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, and police said his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The victim told police he had been shot in the 1900 block of Greenleaf Drive in Norfolk.
