YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Deputies in York County say a pedestrian in the Coventry subdivision was robbed by three teenagers Sunday evening.
Around 9:40 p.m., the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery report from a person near the subdivision’s club house.
The victim told investigators three black males approached him and engaged him in a brief conversation before asking him what he had in his pockets. Then one of the suspects pulled out a knife and another took the victim’s cell phone charger from his pants pockets.
The victim said he refused to tell the suspects where his phone was, and so one of the suspects hit him in the side of the face. Then the suspects fled in a vehicle that was in the club house parking lot.
Investigators were able to arrest a 18-year-old Rasheed Crocker of York County and charge him with robbery and grand larceny. Two 16-year-olds were also arrested and are being held at the Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center.
Crocker is being held in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
