Suffolk vandalism cases all involved metallic paint

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk Police are investigating a number of vandalism incidents that occurred over several days.

According to spokesperson Diana Klink, the vandalism cases began in the overnight hours of July 24. A vehicle on West Washington Street was spray-painted silver. On July 27, four vehicles, a city sign and a manhole cover on Haskins Drive were randomly spray-painted with gold paint.

During the same time period, Nansemond Lawn & Garden on Holly Lawn Pkwy reported to police that someone vandalized an excavator and damaged a windshield, causing more than $4,000 worth of damage.
