Raccoon tests positive for rabies in James City Co.

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – The Peninsula Health District is warning residents in James City County about a raccoon that tested positive for rabies.

Officials issued the warning for people in the area of the 2000 block of Jolly Pond Road.

If you have had any exposure to the animal, you’re asked to call the Health Department at 757-603-4277. After hours, you can also call Animal Control at 757-253-1800.
