SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Part of College Drive in Suffolk is back open to traffic after an excavator pulled down cable lines Thursday.

Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said crews were called to the scene in the 6000 block of College Drive. She said an excavator pulled down cable lines, leaving them hanging low across the street.

College Drive was blocked to traffic from University Boulevard and Magnolia Drive to Hampton Roads Parkway while repairs were made, and traffic was rerouted.

Klink said the road reopened before 2 p.m.
