HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Crews fixed a gas leak at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton Thursday afternoon.
Sgt. Redman with Air Combat Command at LAFB said the leak on the south side of the hospital was noticed around 3:20 p.m. During some construction work, someone hit a four-inch gas line.
Traffic patterns on base were changed to keep people out of harms way, Redman said.
Virginia Natural Gas responded and capped the leak around 3:40 p.m.
No one was injured and the base is operating normally again.
