VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — An indoor skydiving facility is under construction at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
10 On Your Side went down to check out the work in progress. You can see the giant fans that will be used to keep jumpers seemingly floating in mid air.
The facility is called “iFLY.” The company has other locations across the county, including Seattle, Chicago, Dallas and Denver. The Oceanfront location is being built on Pacific Avenue and 24th Street. City leaders hope it will draw more people to the beach.
The attraction is expected to be open by the winter.
