SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk Fire & Rescue now has three new ambulances.
Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said the ambulances were made by Horton Emergency Vehicles in Columbus, Ohio. They include some special features, including a Liquid Spring hydraulic ride rear suspension system, a first for units in the area.
“I am very excited about the delivery of our new ambulances and I am most grateful for the continued support that we have received from the Mayor, City Council, and City Manager. The ambulances are a valuable asset that will be used to assist us in meeting our top priority, which is providing high quality emergency services,” Chief Cedric Scott said in a statement.
The new ambulances will be placed as Medic 1 at Station 1 on Market Street, Medic 3 at Station 3 on White Marsh Road and Medic 5 at Station 5 on Bridge Road.
