SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police are asking for help finding a woman who they say used counterfeit money while working at a Suffolk restaurant.
According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, 38-year-old Chiquita Monique Adams allegedly swapped currency for counterfeit bills while she was working at a Bojangles on Bridge Road. Klink said the fake money was caught by restaurant managers, who contacted police.
None of the counterfeit money was passed to guest at the Bojangles, police said.
Adams is wanted on eight felony counts of uttering a false bank note, and one felony count of embezzlement.
