NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A skate park in Norfolk is back open after someone vandalized the property.
According to a post on the City of Norfolk’s Facebook page, Northside Skate Park was closed on July 29 as crews cleaned graffiti from the park’s bowls. The post states graffiti is vandalism and a Class I misdemeanor, which carries a penalty of up to one year in prison and a $2,500 fine.
Pictures from the park showed a variety of spray-painted graffiti.
On Aug. 4, the City of Norfolk sent a message on Twitter stating the park was back open and ready for skating.
